Patty Corkery Begins Tenure as Joint CEO of MCUL and CUSG

LANSING, Mich. – July 1, 2024 –  As of today, July 1, 2024, Patty Corkery will begin her tenure as joint CEO of the Michigan Credit Union League (MCUL) and Michigan CUSO, CUSG.

Corkery, who has served as Michigan Credit Union League CEO and CUSG Board Member since 2021, succeeds Dave Adams. Adams enters retirement after 27 years as CEO of CUSG, 24 of which he also led MCUL under a joint management structure.

In addition to her 25 years of credit union industry experience as an attorney with Holzman Corkery (now Holzman Law) and with MCUL, Corkery serves as Chairwoman of League InfoSight, and as board member for the American Association of Credit Union Leagues, the Credit Union House on Capitol Hill, the Michigan Business Connection, Lighthouse Michigan, Marquis, CalcXML, Think|Stack and also helps lead the Michigan Sister Society for the Global Women’s Leadership Network. She has a law degree from Wayne State University Law School and an MBA from Walsh College.

MCUL Board Chair Dean Trudeau and CUSG Board Chair Jackie Buchanan expressed excitement for Corkery’s appointment on behalf of both boards, “We couldn’t be happier about both CUSG and MCUL being led by Patty. She is a passionate and skilled leader who is ready for the great opportunities that lie ahead. Returning to our heritage of shared leadership for our companies will also build on the decades of success that we have enjoyed at MCUL & Affiliates under that very structure.”

“I am truly honored to serve as the next CEO of CUSG and to continue leading our Michigan league," said Corkery. "I thank the Board of Directors for having confidence and faith in me. For years, under the leadership of Dave, along with an amazing team, CUSG has been a leader in marketing, technology and performance solutions. I look forward to working with our team and clients to bring CUSG to the next level. I am passionate about this industry where I have spent my entire career, and I am excited to lead our investors and clients on this next journey.”
